FINALISM OF HISTORY AS A THEMATIC STRUCTURE IN SOCIAL PHILOSOPHY

This article examines the origins, meaning and transformations of ideas about the final of history. For this purpose, an overview of selected philosophical concepts from the early Middle Ages to the present day is presented. The author concludes that the idea of finalism in various interpretations serves as a warning against danger or expresses the desire for some ideal that is unattainable for the individual, but possible for the human race. Both options are generated by the incompleteness of a person as a life project.
