THE PROSECUTOR AS A PARTICIPANT IN THE CRIMINAL PROCESS

The activities of the prosecutor at all stages of criminal proceedings are primarily aimed at protecting the constitutional rights and freedoms of a person and citizen, and thereby protecting the interests of the entire society and the state as a whole. The Prosecutor's office traditionally has a special place in the State mechanism for ensuring the guarantees of legality. At the same time, it should be emphasized that there are still endless disputes about the tasks and powers of the Prosecutor's office, as well as about its role and importance in ensuring the protection of fundamental rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens.
