Physical education at the university will solve a number of important tasks, one of which is to preserve and strengthen the health of young people. In order for students to successfully adapt to the conditions of study at the university, maintain and strengthen their health, a healthy lifestyle and regular physical activity are necessary. Information and emotional overload, which is exposed to student youth against the background of a decrease in the share of physical activity in the daily routine, leads to a breakdown of adaptation processes and to the emergence of various changes in the state of health. The aim of our study was to study a comparative analysis of the functional and physical development of female students of the Faculty of Philology (n = 20) in 2012 and in 2021. The physical development of girls for nine years has deteriorated: increased body weight by 14.4 kg, OKG-by 7.4 cm. Heart rateby 1.2 beats / min, SAD-by 11 mm Hg. In this regard, physical fitness has also decreased – the rating on running and strength sports corresponds to «satisfactory» and «unsatisfactory».
