The article deals with modern problems of centralized creation and use of the system of scientific and sports information, covering the entire branch of physical culture and sports of the Russian Federation. The creation of such a system is a complex state task, which requires not only a scientific systematic approach, but also a state approach, and will allow creating a coherent system of scientific and information support, worthy of the level of development of Russian sports science, sports and technical indicators of Russian athletes and the tasks of improving the health of the population.
