Mast cells play a significant role in all phases of the wound process, affecting the proliferation and reconstruction of tissue in the skin. Wound healing is caused by the course of biochemical reactions, for which the pH value is of key importance. At the same time, the relationship between the value of the hydrogen index and the activity of mast cells has not been elucidated. The article presents the results of the study of the effects of acid-modified solutions on the morpho-functional state of mast cells in the paravulnary and wound areas of the skin of rats during the treatment of experimentally modeled wounds. The study revealed that the use of a solution with a changed acidity (pH 5.0) causes a change in the state of the cells of the studied differon with an increase of their secretory activity. The dynamics of healing of the wound defect demon-strates the presence of correlation with the magnitude of the degranulation index of mast cells. It was found out that the greatest effect is manifested on the first day, and the stimulating effect continues until the complete epithelization of the wound defect.
