The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in project management represents a transformative force that is altering the manner in which projects are planned, executed, and evaluated. Concurrently, the precise potential for integrating AI technologies into project management practice remains opaque to numerous professionals. This study systematises the possibilities of applying AI tools in the main subject groups of project management. Despite the obvious benefits, AI adoption faces a number of challenges and risks, including compliance difficulties, insufficient data availability and quality, and organisational and ethical issues. The focus is on the use of AI in the areas of predictive analytics, virtual assistants and process automation. To successfully implement AI, companies must prioritise digital transformation and develop the necessary competencies.
