The paper considers the design of multi-service corporate computer networks, in particular multi-segment campus networks. At the same time, as the main criterion for optimising the structure of such networks, it is proposed to use the total costs of creating a network. A mathematical model of a multi-segment campus network is proposed in the form of an undirected graph, the vertex multiplicity of which corresponds to the nodes of the network, and the edges to corresponding communication channels. The characteristics of the nodes of the network are: the number of nodes (subscribers) and all locations of the proposed location of the switches; the expected intensity of information flows of data packets between nodes of the network; a plurality of transmission rates; a variety of commutator models available for network design. Thus, the introduction of priority traffic management can reduce the bandwidth requirements of the channels and create a network with minimal costs.
