DYNAMICS OF THE IMMUNE STATUS INDICES IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
UDC 616.832-004.2-097
The article analyzes the immune system functional imbalance in the complex pathogenesis of Multiple Sclerosis in its different clinical forms: Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS), Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS), Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS) as well as the stages of the disease progression: relapse and remission. Multiple Sclerosis is based on a complex and multiform pathological process composed of a number of meta- and immunopathological conditions progressing in immunocompetent cells and cells of the nervous system. Despite the intensive research conducted in the last decade, the problem of the Multiple Sclerosis pathogenesis still cannot be considered completely solved and the research should be continued. That is the reason why the initiatives dedicated to the study of the complex immunopathogenesis are relevant and appropriate.
