Problem Areas of Personnel Selection in an Industrial Enterprise: Diagnostics and Directions of Transformation

In the context of personnel shortages and technological modernization, industrial enterprises face systemic problems in the field of personnel selection, which directly affect the implementation of strategic goals. Using the example of a large industrial enterprise in the furniture industry, the article analyzes six key problem areas of personnel selection: lack of a list of critical roles; uncertainty of personnel requirements for strategy; formal nature of competence profiles; lack of assessment of candidates' potential; non-use of exit interview data; recruiters' KPIs focus on speed, not quality. Practical areas of improvement are proposed for each problem area. The implementation of the proposed set of measures provides a significant economic effect by reducing the turnover of senior staff and optimizing the recruiting budget.
